Howden Community Pantry is now open and operating from
Howden Shire Hall:
When?
Open from 11am – 1pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Where?
Howden Shire Hall, Market Place, Howden DN14 7BJ (please
note – there will be no access to the building for the general public – the tables
are set up at the double doors at the front)
What?
Drop off donations - a
central drop off point for donations on non perishable foods as well as ‘best
before’ food from local traders.
Pick up point - an
opportunity for folk who may be struggling financially to pop by and collect
some items which could just help to bridge the gap whilst they get sorted.
Book and jigsaw exchange – for people who need something new
to read or occupy their time. Drop off and pick up your ‘swaps.’
Howden Helpers may also be able to organise deliveries from the pantry to individuals or families isolating. Please contact us here for more information.
If you, or anyone you know, are really struggling you can access help from the local CV19 response hub on 01482 393919 where will take the details and organise an 'essentials' food parcel which we will be able to deliver. This is a really easy and friendly service and, if necessary, Howden Helpers are able to make these phone calls (with the recipients' permission).
